Welcome to Park Delicatessen Fall 2009
There are lots of new things happening at Park Delicatessen this Fall. In addition to our full service skate shop, we have started making our own apparel, added a selection of hand made baby items, collected some new treasures for your home, and expanded our seasonal flower offering. And of course we still have Mexican coke!

Antique kimono house slippers from Japan. They are all hand woven and one of a kind. It takes about one kimono to make a pair of these beautiful slippers. Made exclusively for Park Delicatessen.

The leaves are falling fast & Marcel is cleaning it up!

Totally Failed to Cover Back To The Banks
By Seamus McCarthy
After rolling out of someone else’s bed to a text about Back to the Banks I knew I was going to have to deal with it this year, so straight home, bong rips, out the door, with board. Swing by the Delicatessen to be have a reporting assignment handed to my burnt self. Another commute later and I’m in a football sized brick arena with like 10,000 skaters from the six corners of the Tri-State.
Anyway on to coverage, umm, when I got there the gap to spine was in full force and I didn’t see any of it, but gnarly shit apparently happened. Rumor was several nose blunts and tail slides. Shout out to Pensyl (hope he’s the one who actually did it) for a nosegrind-nollie in to the spine. Heard some other stuff went down, but that one stood out during the re-cap later that night. A couple phone calls later, I turn around and the sub-box comp is starting. That machine ate skateboarders, between the pile ups and the run up wipe outs it got real hairy making tricks that much more epic. The first trick I remember was a front tail across the top box, then back nose revert out on the top box, the kid with the broken arm front lipped the whole top box, this dude wearing a red hat did something and landed through a massive pile up, and some dude in a Famous shirt did a 180 switch smith-back willy-revert out thing (it was kinda cool). Also, little homie Paul what were you thinking making a run at the sub-box during the comp, your out of control. I decided to go to LES as the sub box wouldn’t end and I needed to skate. Skated LES, stoked on all the new stuff, mostly the wavy red ledge, the square many pads, and the different banks. Thank you Tony Hawk?
After skating they’re for a bit decided to go look for people again, back to the Banks. When I got there ran into some friends and watched the 13-stair contest kick off. This gnarly kid back feebled the rail, someone front board – body varial – front lipped the rail, and a switch front blunt may have occurred before we bounced back to LES. When we got there a double set sesh was in full swing, chucklers galore all day dude. This time around I got a couple shitty shots of homies skating the new shit. After a lazy session and a couple photo’s skated across the Manhattan Bridge and back home.
